About Us

Repair the land,
design the place.

As a town-making DX company and a locally-rooted creative agency — creating new value through design, across both the digital and the analogue.

Philosophy

Staying becomes meeting the region.

What we regenerate is more than buildings — the memory of the life once lived there, the pride of a town, the ties between people. When a single house lights up again, voices return to the village. That is the cycle we build across Kaga.

"Showing the local face" is not just a slogan. Fishers, farmers, craftspeople, the keepers of the hot springs — our houses stand together with those faces.

What we do

Make, tell, and host the region.

Creative

Locally-rooted creative

We translate the stories of a place into brands, spaces and editorial — the "character" we cultivated in Kaga, made together with local businesses.

Machizukuri DX

Town-making, digitised

From mapping vacant and dormant properties to building booking and operations systems — circulating local resources through technology.

Stay

Small-scale lodging

We run 20+ whole-house rentals ourselves, starting with Kurosaki BASE. Running "inns with a local face" is our own laboratory.

Trust

10 years of hosting. Building the value of minpaku, with the region.

BASEYARZ has over 10 years of hosting experience. While maintaining Airbnb Superhost status, we engage — through community work, industry associations and academic forums — with the value of "lodging that works for society" through the regeneration of vacant houses.

We also keep up bottom-up activities that grow local hosts together: supporting the acquisition of the residential lodging-management licence, and sharing know-how for opening and self-sustaining minpaku across the Hokuriku region.

Airbnb Superhost
