01 Yamashiro Onsen, Kaga
A spa town beloved by artists and the cradle of the Kutani-ware revival. With its red-tiled roof and timber frame, the sōyu sits at the heart of a historic bath street.
02 Yamanaka Onsen, Kaga
A 1,300-year-old spring praised by the poet Bashō, long known for longevity and good health.
03 Katayamazu Onsen, Kaga
A glass building by architect Yoshio Taniguchi, with two baths that melt into views of Lake Shibayama, the sky and the forest.
